Colorado's Department of Motor Vehicles will start accepting driver's license applications from undocumented immigrants at three new local offices across the state as of June 1. DMV officials have said that the department is not able to start offering this service at those offices sooner, because employees need to be trained in order to be able to process applications under the immigrant driver program efficiently.
Over the past couple of months, four offices have had to stop offering licenses for undocumented immigrants because of insufficient funds.
